About "TOWERS OF TOMORROW"...
Mary Jane Gregan was moved greatly after the events of
September 11th, 2001. So much so, that she was inspired to write a
song about hope for our future - a hope that was temporarily shaken
by the tragedies of that day. As an elementary school teacher, she
quickly became aware that the hope and strength for a stronger
America was found in our children; or as is so eloquently stated in
the song, they are our "TOWERS OF TOMORROW".
About Mary Jane Gregan...
Mary Jane Gregan lives in Lafayette, Indiana where she
is a music educator at Burnett Creek Elementary
School. In recognition for her work with "TOWERS OF TOMORROW",
Mary Jane has been honored by the Indiana House Of Representatives
with a House Resolution. She has also been approached to be part of
the Indiana Arts Commission Very Special Arts program working as a
consultant for children and teachers.
Mary Jane has also been recognized for her compositions
and drumming throughout the northwest Indiana region and into
Chicago. She recently won the Martha Schrader award for excellence
"Seeds of Excellence Grant 2005". This grant helped to purchase
drums and equipment for a year-long project to help at-risk and low
incidence children as well as general education programs. She also
won the Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship and will be studying
drumming, dance and other music forms in Ghana during the summer of
2006.
Her most recent studio release "Songs Of The Angels" won
her an Honor Award in the Great American Song Contest for the title
track. To order her CD and learn more about Mary Jane Gregan, you
